I have been a trial secretary for obedience, rally and barn hunt since 2019 and added scent work in 2020. I am really excited to have been chosen to be the trial secretary for the South Plains Obedience Training Club of Lubbock’s three annual agility trials, although following Sherri and Donna is going to be a big job.
Many of you have asked about the name Malevil, pronounced Male Ville. It was taken from a novel written by Robert Merle that Vernon and I both very much enjoyed. We started out with the kennels named Malevil and when we started a commercial iris garden we again chose that name. Now that I am starting the Secretarial Services, it just seemed right to keep that name again. If you get the chance, read the book, it is excellent!
Vernon and I have been “in” dogs since the 70’s. We started out with Doberman Pinschers and Dachshunds, showing mainly in conformation and handling dogs for customers at that time. Over the years we stopped handling for others and slowly migrated to Dobermans only and currently share our home with four Dobes! We have shown in Conformation, Agility, Obedience, Rally, Scent Work, Barn Hunt and Fast Cat. I desperately wanted to do Dock Diving but the Dobes drew the line there and said no way!
I can provide a complete secretarial service for Agility, Scent Work, Obedience, Rally, and Barn Hunt. If your club needs an efficient, friendly, and professional trial secretary, I would be happy to help you. Please contact me for information on any of these services.
